Build your Queenslander, see the move
Inner-Brisbane moves are decided by the climb, not the kilometres. Tell us how high your home sits, how many front steps there are, and what is under the house, and we will show you the crew and the carry your move actually needs, honestly.
A short, low carry: two movers and a truck handle it comfortably.
Three kinds of climb, three kinds of crew
However your home sits, the move falls into one of three shapes. This is how we resource each one, so the price reflects the real work and there are no surprises on the day.
Standard stair carry
A low or modestly high-set home, a short front stair and a truck at the kerb. The standard crew of two movers and one truck moves it efficiently, with the treads protected.
Extra hands and stair gear
A genuine high-set climb, a longer front stair, storage under the house, or a street a full-size truck cannot reach. We add a mover and stair-climbing gear, or run a smaller shuttle truck, so the day still runs to time.
High-set climb and shuttle
Very tall stumps, a long stair, a full dug-out under-house level, or no truck access at all. A larger crew, stair-climbers and straps, a shuttle to a legal truck spot, and more time allowed in the booking.
About the planner
Is this my final quote?
No. It is an honest read on the crew and the carry your access calls for, so the quote is accurate and the day has no surprises. Send the planner result with your enquiry and we will price the move on your real address, both ends.
Why does a high-set home cost more than a low one?
Carrying a loaded fridge or a lounge up a long front stair and back down empty is slower and harder on the crew than the same carry on the flat. A very high-set Queenslander with a dug-out under-house is the most demanding inner-Brisbane move, which is why we plan it carefully rather than guess on the day.
What if a truck genuinely cannot reach my home?
That is common on the narrow, steep ridge streets and around West End. We park a truck where it is legal, sometimes further down the hill, and shuttle your belongings to it with a smaller vehicle and extra hands. The planner flags this so it is costed up front, not discovered on moving day.
Do you move the under-house and the verandah too?
Yes. The dug-out studio, the laundry under the house and the gear on the verandah are all part of the move. Tick the under-house option and we factor that second carry into the crew and the plan.
